Bodywork quote. roughly
My right side quarter panel is fucked. if i order a new ford quarter panel, what should i be looking at for them to weld it on?
and how well should it fit considering its made by ford.

when i helped my buddy put a new quarterpanel on his jetta...there was no welding to be done. It was all bolts and clips. And a little bit of adjusting to make sure the lines lined up correctly.

well my rear quarter panel is all welded, most vehicles are. unless youre talking about a front fender or something

Depends on labor rate and time given for repair Most good body shops youre lookin at 75+ an hour.
If it were me id check out a mitchell estimating guide or similar and find out how many hours are given for such repair and then call around and ask shops what their rates are and figure it out from there for a quick estimate. As for how well it will fit. If you go with an oem one that all depends on who does the work. If you go with keystone or similar junk I wouldnt count on it being as good of a fit as an oem. Although youre going with a quarter and not a fender heres a little something to considerl. Ive had plenty of fenders come in at work from keystone and they were so bad holes would be off by atleast .5-1". Last edited by ajm : July 6th, 2008 at 05:51 PM. |

In that case I wouldnt see why they wouldnt. Should be a perfect fit, as for things lining up that all depends on where you get the work done although you should be good as quarters arent extremely complicated.
