QA1 Fitment Problems

The steering shaft hits the header going towards the driver side when it almost lines up to the rack and pinion, but when the shaft isnt touching the header at all its almost an inch off.

How do offset rack bushings work and do you think they will fix my problem? I dont know how much difference its going to make, but an inch would be nice if I could get a set that would do that much difference.

I don't know if this completely relates but do you have a set of C/C plates and are you sure you bought the right K-member? QA1 has two K-members and one if the the SN95s the other is for the New Edges. As far as the C/C plates go I've seen where sometimes they are required with an upgraded K-member, for what reason I'm not totally sure that's why I asked.

i never had any fitment issues out of mine, for the most part everything went right together. i was using stock bushings till my offset ones got here, it just popped alot. i think i have another set if you need them. the hole is closer to the bottom of the rack and pinion which raises it up a little bit. i know everything is really close on fitment, the steering shaft seems it is about to hit but it doesnt. if needed i might be able to get some pics on the wifes next day off.
