Are you asking if anyone has replaced the UDP's with stock components?

i dont see why that would be so hard... i no my buddy's GT with a VQ-2 he put stock back on because the Steeda was robbing power and lowering his PSI

Since the previous owner installed the UDPs I didn't have the stock pulleys to put back on. But I went back to a stock crank pulley and an electric water pump (same diameter as a stock water pump pulley) when I had the Procharger installed.

Yes asking who has done it. I want to make sure I have the right pulleys going on the right places. I will try to post up pics of the stocks I have so some one could identify them correctly. I am pretty sure the small pulley is the alt pulley, the large pulley is the crankshaft pulley, and the one that looks like a hollowed out shell is the water pump. I dont remember since I installed them with a friend back in 2001.

Small is the alt. pulley, heavy one is crank, hollowed out one is water pump. Reinstall is easy. Just remember to get a new crank bolt.

It's pretty self explanitory. Just make sure the belt is running smoothly when you get everything back on.

So i took another look today and damn there is a ton of room in the front! I now remember we only had to remove or drop the fan a bit to get a little more leverage on the UDP install. With the fan and radiator out the way, it should go by pretty quick. Thanks.

why did you have to remove the fan? usualy there is enough clearence without removing anything. just remember after you install the belt to crank the motor over a couple times, but dont start it, just so you have a chance to see the belt in motion to make sure everything is smooth. also make sure you follow the torque requirments and steps for the crank pulley, otherwise you might get codes and other problems.

Well of course if your crank pulley comes loose your gonna have problems, and from what was explained to me if your crank pulley becomes too lose and wobbles the computer will throw a code. and if that pulley falls off your F***ed if ur stuck on the side of the road

I dont think I removed the fan, but the bracket holding up the coolant tank I think had to be moved. i dont know if we moved the fan slightly for added clearance or not....its been a while.

o damn so theres no fail safe then? I remember seeing a video and said to crank but dont start a couple times cause the tensioner has to tighten up right?

huh what? Its an automatic tensioner, it will tighten itself right away. Cranking the engine over a little bit is just to make sure the belt is lining up properly. Pretty easy to miss a rib here and there if your not paying attention.

Yes the crank pulley could come off i guess if the bolt came loose...pretty damn hard for it to come lose though...torque that thing down hard and never look back.
