Hmmm...

I was thinking of using a radiator hose or something...

Anyone else?

Do you happen to know what kind of hose you got?

Or did you just pick one at random?

I went in the back at autozone and they let me pick a couple out. I took the bypass with me to make sure the hose fit.

My first thought was to take a look at the radiator hoses and pick one bent close to what you need

so is there an advantage to making it a bypass instead of just having a blowoff valve? i was just gonna get a BOV for my procharger but i don't know what i should do. i ordered it today

Sweet...

So this weekend I am going to take it the bypass up to the zone...

Mine just needs to be a straight piece because I have the bung welded on the boost pipe as well...

BOV - Blow Through
BPV - Pull Through

I ran a BOV recirculated on my car...With pull through the air is already metered before the BOV/BPV and if you vented to the atmosphere you would throw that count off...Blow through is metered after the BPV/BOV...

The difference is one releases the compressed air to the atmosphere and the other recirculates it back into the intake.

oh now i understand! i didn't take into consideration that it may affect the air/fuel mixture since that air is being metered then thrown back into the atmosphere. thanks chris. is a blowoff valve and a bypass valve the same actual valve then? just the bypass gets the air recirculated through tubing back to the intake?

I don't think they are the same but they are close. Look at ChrisJ's setup and he actually has it ran like a BPV. It'll throw off your air fuel quite a bit if you use the BOV on a regular mass air.

They are mostly the same...

But for a blow through you want to run a BOV...Pull through you ahve to run a BPV or BOV set to recirculate the air...

Prochargers are Blow through...

wow now i'm confused again. so my MAF is going to be after the compressed air then? so i need to run a blowoff valve instead of a bypass valve? and it needs to go to the atmosphere and not back to the intake?
