catback vs. chin spoiler/grill delete

bored and want opinions on what to do first...should i do magnaflow mufflers first (already made up my mind on muffler choice) or a chin spoiler and mach 1 grill delete?

if i do exhaust i will only do the mufflers right now. as for tips, i will either keep the stock ones or just get some rolled ones if i can afford it...if not they will come later if i decide i want them.

i know exhaust should be one of the first things to get the 281 sounding the way it should but the chin spoiler/mach 1 grill makes the front look completely different (in a good way)

i feel like i will get an obvious answer but oh well.

exhaust or chin spoiler/mach 1 grill which one first?

You have to ask yourself one question: "Do I want it to look better or sound better?"...which are you least happy with? The looks or the sound?

Personally I say go with the cosmetic stuff. The gains from a muffler swap is minimal at best.

i wouldn't say this is doing the exhaust wrong...considering magnaflows are good mufflers. and i will still do the mid pipe. just not right now. i don't see how it will hurt to wait.

i know the gains are minimal even though magnaflow is a good muffler. this would be mainly for sound, not looking for a huge gain in performance. and i would do the mid pipe later on down the road (after the cosmetic stuff if i chose exhaust first).

i think the front is probably the worst looking part of the car. and the cosmetic stuff would do wonders for the front. as for the sound, i definitely don't think it sounds bad now. it actually sounds pretty darn good for stock exhaust. i just know it would sound even better with some aftermarket mufflers.

and i will do both. just not at the same time. my mods come as money permits...since its not like i have to do them all at once. won't hurt to wait.

why not just wait and save for a cat back and a O/R x-pipe, then you can do headers later on down the road. looks aren't for me but if thats what your into then hey go with it.

i want my car to look good

i will do both midpipe and a catback. but i don't see why they have to be done together at the same time.

because you have the car in the air and you already have it in peices so why not do it all ya know?

I say go with the Grill delete or save for the midpipe back exhaust

I did all kinds of stuff to my stang and one of the best mods I did was............Mach1 chin/grille delete. It cleans up the front so well. I hated the way it looked stock.

i have to agree. i'm not too fond of the way the front looks. i don't think it looks terrible but it doesn't look great...and the chin spoiler/grill delete would make a huge difference.

i think i'm goin with the grill delete and chin spoiler first. i will take yalls advice and do the midpipe and catback exhaust all at once. which is why i'm doing the grill delete/spoiler first...so i can go ahead and at least get a couple mods on because it will take a while to save up for the exhaust.

thanks to all
