Forged Internals

Hey all,

might try to get a jump start on saving some cash for this. I might be supercharging my car along with the nitrous. What does everyone suggest. Do I just keep the stock block and forge the internals or should I get a new block. Either way, what do you guys suggest for the parts?

keep your stock block as itll handle anything your gonna throw at it. get a cobra forged crankshaft($650), manley 4340 h-beam rods ($600), some type of forged piston, JE or CP pistons there are a bunch of others also. pistons will run you roughly $700-$800.

your gonna need to have your block machined about .020 over to make sure everything is clean and smooth.

or you can buy a complete short block. www.lethalperformance.com has mod max engines for sale. i know they have a built stroker short block for $2800. not a bad price at all. anyways i would say just run one poweradder but if you must a little bit of nitrous, not a lot.

all of the prices for the forged parts were pretty rough so they might cost more or less

yeah, if I went sc, I would use the nitrous on a small shot to help cool the air a little. Hell I have it, might as well use it right.

Those are some damn good prices but a quickj question though, dos that MMR SreetMod 900 short block use Cobra heads? I might have to pic that block up along with a power adder... I got some ricers at work I need to squash

Yeah I would just forge your bottom end...

Is it your daily driver? If so you might want to grab a block and build it in your spare time...
