what the f*** am i getting scammed here?

the guy said he was gonna send me a tracking number today. nothing, oh well no big deal. so i just figured he might not have gotten around to it. i just went on ebay and i think he re-listed it under a different user name. heres the link

the one i "bought"

this one is a new listing, under someone with a different user name and 0 feedback.

I usually give people at least a week to come around, if you still haven't heard shit then I'd start taking action by filing a claim with paypal, the initial stages of the claim allow him to respond, and if not then paypal takes action...

he has multiple positive feedbacks, I wouldn't worry yet

side question
do people buy prochargers and vortechs because theyre cheap, or because they're better?

They are affordable decent blowers, I prefer vortech .. some people procharger, Honestly the NOVI is probably the best bet out there for centri blowers .. my fav is the YSI from Vortech, I mean I'm still a turbo guy when it comes down to it, but the YSI is one bad blower ...

lets keep this thread on topic please, we're talking about $3200 here. not trying to be a dick, but when i read that new add on ebay my face turned white and i almost felt sick to my stomach. if i get scammed out of that much money my life is ruined for a VERY long time.

he could have very easily re-listed it and found pictures online of a different blower and put them there on his ad.

It honestly depends on how you're gonna drive the car, my buddy in the cobra has a 2.3 whipple and is thinking about going twin turbo instead of upgrading to the 3.4 whipple ..

There is no power like a good turbo system, that has been proven over and over, its just the most costly set up.

After having driven every car from a stock gt to a 800 hp turbo cobra, I'm def. going turbo on my next car, but if I had to choose between a twin screw and centri I'd still go centri, with a gear, they are just fun as hell b/c you can beat on them and they give you a bit more room for error ... the whippled cobra with the IRS is dangerous at times ..

well the serial numbers are different
the models look abit different as well, looks like theres another letter on the end of that model number of the second one.
Just give it a week since you purchased it, if nothing happens, contact paypal or ebay.

Like I said, contact him once a day for a week, if he doesn't respond then I'd take action with paypal. Its very common for people to delay a few days ...

i'm worried about that because i bid 3200 and he ended the auction early and sent me an invoice. it was a paypal invoice but it had no link to the auction so he could have just ended it early and say it sold locally and keep my money that i sent him.

Still, I thought eBay had some sort of insurance thing.
