which wire is the dimming wire?

Hey does anyone have the wiring guide for a 00 GT. I'm hooking up my new autometer gauges

and I want to hook the power up to the dimming wire coming off the headlight switch. When I use a test light and try to find it the light just stays lit on all the hot contacts it doesn't dim as i turn the switch. Any ideas?

For the Illimination I tapped into the wires for the Rear Defrost Switch. It will be a Lt. Blue wire with a Red stripe. Your gauges will dim with your dimmer switch then. You can also tap into the same color wire going to the center console controls. Thats where I tapped into for my monster tach.

the dimming wire is off the headlight switch and should be white in color. if you probe the test light into the wire, it will dim with the turn of the knob when lights are on.

Or use a Ohm meter to check for a voltage drop. Just probe the wires, turn the dimmer switch and which one loses volts as you turn the knob is your wire. I believe its white also, but its been a while since i was in there.
