front brakes are grabbing


my Buddies front brakes are grabbing on his Mustang and he was wondering if u knew how to fix that?

meh go to the basics and take them off and put them back on. wait and see if that changes anything maybe some new pads or check if the rotors are warped

This could be a caliper going bad, seizing up.

Things to watch for are:

-car will pull in the direction of the side the bad caliper is on.
-a sticky caliper can overheat the brake rotor. Look for discoloration on rotors
-when removing and replacing calipers, keep in mind that the piston on the rear brakes must also turn as it pushes in.
-ensure that proper anti-seize lubricant is used at all sliding points of the caliper.
-remove the brake fluid reservoir cap before sliding the pistons back in to the calipers.
-if you're not familiar with working on brakes, do only one side at a time, so you can look at the other side for reference if you forget how something should go together..
