wtf is wrong with my car?

if im at a low rpm in 4th or 5th (like 2500) and i floor it my rpm steadily goes up towards 3k but like dips back down and then stays there and then goes back up

like 2500....2600....2700...2800....2600....stays there for a second and goes back up

im praying to god i dont need a new clucth

could it just be needing a tune or maybe even its just realated to the fuel pump some how

Your fuel pump bad? Saw you had a thread awhile ago but didnt read it. Could cause that. Doubt its tune unless you just had it tuned.

You would know if its clutch slippage, it would rev faster than that. And wouldnt hang. Datalog to see whats wrong...

So your rears are messing with you. A tuner could get them turned off. I would do that. Maybe reset the ecu (unplug battery) and see if it goes away. It will come back fast as the computer fills in its tables. Its probably the rear o2s messing with the tune bad.

02's will mess your shit up when not working (or rears not turned off with no cats). I would start there.

He said it doesnt happen at WOT which clutch slippage would be way worse.

if his clutch was slipping, he would feel it more in the lower gears where there is actually more power running theough them. but he said it only happens in 4th and 5th though, so i dont see it being a clutch.

it does not sound like your clutch its like a few people already said your rpms would go up not down if it was slipping. but im telling you the two burn out videos you have. i watched both and i already told you once you keep letting your clutch out slow when you need to be dumping it. it wont be long before you burn that clutch up! how many miles are on your car? whens the last time you did a tune up?

Yeah, definately not the Clutch. I would think htat it is your O2 sensors causing it. Also you asked if it could be your fuel pump... That would be Very unlikely due to the fact that when you are racing it and what not there aren't any problems. Also if it is a random accurance.... It may even be a mass air flow problem. Most likely your O2 though.

All rear O2's do is turn your check engine light on/off. Faulty front O2's wont cause it either. Do YOU have a cel code? If so what it it? Bad front O2's will just cause rich conditions.

If his clutch is slipping his RPM's would increase and his vehicle speed would stay the same or not increase with the same standard as the RPM's. SO, it's not that.

When Fuel pumps go out they just don't work. Even if it "whines" and it's still starting your car, your fuel pump is fine or at the least working.

Whens the last time you cleaned your Maf or checked to see if your intake system was connected correctly?

If I where to guess without looking at it, I'd assume it was your ignition system, A bad coil.
