Clutch Question


I have a question i have a 03 gt with 39000 miles i want to know how can i know when my clucth need to be replaced what are the signs i am asking this because is the first 5 speed is own i bought the car used please help thanks

my stang is auto but i've owned a few manual cars and trucks...how is your friction point....meaning how far do u gotta let the clutch out b4 it catches the gear...just everyday driving...do you smell anything weird when you take off? a burning clutch is a very particular smell...

you should feel it slipping like if you get on it and its kinda laggy like its trying to go but its not going. that oculd mea you need a new one

NON OF THAT IF FEELS GOING FROM FIRST TO SECOND GEAR LIKE GRINDING OR SHAKING THE SHIFTER ALSO GOING TO FIRST FEEL KIND OF HARD NOT SMOOTH I WAS THINKING ABOUT GETTING A SHORT THROW FOR THIS REASON

easy on the caps homie! hmm.......i'm thinking it may be something with the synchronizers.....that happend on my f150....take it to a trans shop...see whats up...that sounds a little seriouse...i dont think the shifter will help that. good luck and let us know!

possibly the syncros but with the mileage I dont know...

I would actually take it back to a Ford Dealership and have them look at it...

You should have alittle time left on you ESP...

the t-3650 has a TSB on it and from what you are fealing you fall under this tsb.
