Anyone Have Flowmaster 44?

I'm looking into buying new exhaust b/c lets face it, the stock exhaust can hardly be heard. I'm looking for something with some deep grunt in the low end. I also want it to be fairly noticeable but not like the old glasspacks (something in the mid to mid-loud range). I'm thinking Flowmaster's 44. Does anyone have these on their Mustang and how do they sound?

44's are LOUD! Just get the 40's if you want some grunt and for it to not be LOUD!

i had them on my 07...sounded great.

but after i got my stingers i was glad a made the decision to save up a little more cash for something that like 90% of other ppl didn't have.

just my 2 cents.

how can you not like that...haha

and if you do decide to get an off road pipe the stingers will still give them a nice loud deep tone rather than a loud high raspy tone

if you want deep, but not a lot of volume, think about the magnaflow catback.. check it out on youtube.. just make sure you don't listen to clips of the magnaflow magnapack catback.. that is their "agressive" muffler that will definitely be louder than what you are looking for

I'm going to stick with Flowmasters because of discounts I can recieve. I'm not concerned if 90% of the cars have them, as long as I like the way they sound.

Thanks mustangmanic, I'll look into the 40s and drop the 44s idea.

I dnt kno how good of discounts you recieve, but i regret having 40s (bought them without ever searching anything) and then when i used ia computer i leraned they're chambered and magna flows are strait through so there actually better for power (small diffrence i think but still). I COULD BE COMPLETLY WRONG but i rember seeing that somewhere a long time ago and being upset.

yes.. you are correct

but flows or anyother axle back really isn't gonna give you any noticeable hp

44's are too much for me... My 40's drone a ton and I'll be getting a straight through setup next season.

I had flow 40's, now I run stingers, and next I'm going to get Violators or Magnapacks.

The flows sounded like shit IMHO, the stingers sound great, but I want more of a muscle car sound, I have Mac LT's and a Mac Pro Chamber.

had 40's as well...good tone but too much drone n werent loud enough at idle or cruising for my liking...went with LM2's no drone what so ever and a nice deep rumble...everyone around was always knocking slp on mustangs saying they were only sounded good on chevy's n then those same kids heard me drive by n said that was the best sounding exhaust they have ever heard on a mustang n then when i told them they were slp they shit themselves
