People with Magnaflow Exhaust
Im wanting to upgrade my catback soon since my stock one is all rusted and is about to blow out. so im thinking of just getting a catback instead of replacing the tubing. Right now i really like MAC Catback but i also just started to get back into Magnaflows. Does anyone have a video of an O/R H pipe with Magnaflow Catback? I think i've heard pretty much everyone on youtube but just seeing if anyone around here has any clips?
Also what do you guys think about Magnapacks over regular Magnaflows? I know they are louder and i think the magnapacks kinda sound like what i have now in a way so im not sure i want to get magnapacks but they are not out of the question. I also want a catback that is loud. it does not have to be outrageously loud but i want it to be loud, i think you guys know what i mean. thanks guys

regular magnaflows are waay to quiet for my taste (at least with the stock h pipe.) but with an o/r pipe i guess its a good bit louder. anyway magnapacks sound awesome IMO

All of those resonate like Flowmasters. Get LM2's or similar.

yeah they dont sound like flowmasters at all. Magnaflows has good gains too.
See listen to clip 1. MagnaFlow Performance Exhaust I think that sounds soo good. But the clips on youtube dont really sound like that. Can anyone tell if what kind of midpipe it has or if you can hear any headers in there or something.

Correct guys those don't sound like Flowmasters. That's not what I said... Being a Baffle type Turbo muffler they have a lot of "In car resonating noise." The straight through type mufflers don't have that 30mph drone like turbo mufflers. Thats why I suggested the LM2's. Currently I have Flowmaster 40s and have had Magnaflow, Borla, and Bassani all of which droned.

I like the magnapacks, i had them with an o/r h and then had them with an o/r x imo they sound best with an x pipe but i loved them.

yeah i like the LM2 a lot as well. There are so many exhaust to choose from i just cant decide. I really like, Corsa, Mac, Magnaflow, LM2, Bassani. But Bassani are out of the question because they are just too much money for me. And i kinda am starting to get annoyed by the drone thing but i can tolerate it. I found some magnaflows on sale for a great price and thats why i thought i should start learning a little more about this catback and how it sounds. Did the dumps not work out? You going to do magnapacks or regular magnaflows?

i installed regular magnaflow catback on mine about 45 days ago, i like it. sounds good and personally it feels like performance improved too. I'd say they're like 20% louder than stock, i still have the stock h-pipe tho. i'm sure with a catted x mid pipe it's gonna be louder.
if you get magnapack with an offroad x or h pipe, it's gonna be very loud and the cops might look at you suspiciously. |

not really, depends on what mid pipe he is running. mine was loud with the tru-x, but then again any exhaust bolted to it will be loud. my packs arent loud if you dont want them to be now with the set up i have.
