I hear ya on buying from private sellers. I dont know if I listed it in my previous post but that one is an 04 and bought it in 05. Can you believe that the original color was yellow with black pinstripe and a red R logo?  Big change eh? lol. I've honestly never ran it down the quarter  but they say it should get mid to low 11's around 120-130 mph (good riders). I'd guess for me maybe low 12's @ 110-115This video tells about the GSXR (2004) Favorite motorcycle commerical too

Yeah that is a pretty big change. Pretty informative video...and the commercial...well the look on her face tells the story...lol. But that is a nice bike though...and I always wondered when people say that riding a bike feels much faster than driving a car...it is some weird effect that open riding has on the brain vs riding in an enclousure like a car. I have read about that before but don't know if that is really true or not? I guess when I was younger and rode in a go-kart the 25 mph max throttle speed they were limited at seemed so fast...lol. So doing the quarter on a bike with a trap speed of 120+ must feel very very fast?

...so not saying much more about that but the color is so rare in my area that I would have to really hunt for it. Now that these cars are getting older from the last time they were built 4 years and counting...5 if you want to consider for the year I have...that most dealerships in my area only carry the 05+ and up. I would most likely have to go to a private seller to get one. I have mixed views buying from a private seller. I think I would be able to get a better deal that I would at a dealership...but buying from someone who is trying to pull a fast one on me to get a problem off there hand and into another is my main concern. I am pretty savvy when it comes to knowing what to look for when buying a car and know that it could even happen at a stealership but I guess that is just the way I feel when dealing with a private seller.
