i dunno
im assuming it was a gtp there was no badging but i def. heard a supercharger. wasnt that quick.

i almost bought one, grand prix gtp i mean, its just got 20 hp less-stock as the 99-04 gt's do

i thought they had either 240 or 280, there were 2 diff. versions?
in any case, im quite surprised i beat him. rolling and from a stop. my car sucks balls, so yeah.

i think up until 02 or sumthin it had 240, and when they got the new model, the one they have now i guess, is 260, i remember that now.

They are pretty quick...I had one come up on me real quick one night while I was driving my stang to work minding my own business. On a 45 roll he punched it and so did I and he couldn't pass me and I couldn't pass him...we were pretty much dead even up to 70 and then I let off, and like a dumb a** he kept accelerating going down a city street with a speed limit of 40. I mean I will get on it a little when there is no traffic around but I am not going to lose my license by street racing the little b*tch.
Now that I have 4.30 gears and soon to be stalled at 3700 rpms on the street at those speeds I will be in my power band the whole time so the outcome might be different next time I have one of those GTP's roll on me.

the gtp's are somewhat heavier than are stangs are...and even though the horsepower is pretty close on some of the gtp models...I'm not quite sure where there power band or peak torque range is at on their car but they probably excel better at roll racing our stangs than from a dig.

I had one come up on me on the highway, his passenger pegged me the bird and tried to take off, i dropped down into 3rd gear and punched it, hammered through the gears after that, from nose to nose he slipped back to my rear wheels and at about 135 he dropped off, he was trying to keep up, a buddy following me let me know that he continued on pushing and when he hit 140 he just gave up and slowed down.

I have seen em run low 13's and hig 12's before. they will surprise you when they are done up right.

I raced one a while back too from a roll at about 25-30 i put about 3-4 cars on him. I raced him twice like that and then he wanted too again off the line. The third time he beat me cuz i missed third and let him get a jump off the line. No more missing 3rd thanks to the TRI-AX!!! Then can be made fast though!!

I have a ssei bonnivelle (wifes car ) same motor as a gtp but car is heavier and it does run good. they sell as many performance parts for it as they do my gt. when I first got the car one of the kits was supposed to make the car run mid-high 12's. I would know for sure but I dont want to tear the car up. the bonnie will hang w/ a stock gt

i had my ass handed to me at the drag strip by one that you would see in a grocery store parking lot.... he ran a night best of 12.35
