BOV?
Can i use my minirace bypass valve as a BOV? Can I just remove the hose from the valve to the inlet pipe and just blow the air out to the atmosphere? my maf is draw thrue and my IAT sensor is by the throtle body.

if its a draw through you need to keep the bypass, if its blow through you can run a BOV but with a draw through you will disrupt the air/fuel mixture if you use a blowoff valve.

Im a little confused. When you use a bypass, you are blowing the air back into the inlet pipe, which is drawing air from the outside. I dont get why it makes a difference, you still are using the bypass valve regardless of where the air is going to. I was under the impression that the bypass or BOV was only there to relieve the pressure from the discharge pipe to protect the blower. Could you explain alittle more on the air/fuel mixture issue?

there are two types of wastegates,.. the kind that blows into the atmosphere, and the kind that recirculates. Some vehicles do not perform well without the recirculating bov/wastegate. Not Sure if it has anything to do with boosted stangs, but i know that a subaru functions better with a recirculating one
