tips are a little big, i plan on going 4" personally, and slanted. but it's your ride, bro. if you're happy with it, that's what matters.

2 of my RDC's in boot camp were Seabees: one was EO1 (SCW), the other was BUC (SCW). and my brother in law was a UT2 (SCW)...

there were other things i wanted out of life, and being out to sea all the time was not one of them. i didn't want to try and start a family and then have my kids not know me. i didn't know my dad real well when i was growing up because he was working all the time. it affected our relationship. i understand that he was doing what he had to do in order to provide for the family, but it's just not something i wanted to do. there were a few other circumstances involved in my decision, but those are the main ones...
at 9 years though, it's not completely stupid to get out. after my next sea tour (had i stayed in), yeah, i would've been retarded to get out instead of retiring...
