Hey zinc, just a little tip. When taking close up pics like that put the camera into macro mode, that way it won't be all blurry.

And good info BTW.

Go to Oreilly's, Advance Auto Parts, or Autozone. They should carry them. If not theyll probably have them in a day or so.

being that I got the V Power's, Im going to side with them.

Either or will do honestly. I have heard thoguh that when using a platinum plug, you can actually scrape the platinum off the electrode when gapping them. Im not 100% sure on that, but I went with the coppers just to be safe.

oragne is fine...

theyre still 19# injectors... Ford changed the color on em for what seems to be no good reason...

changing the spark plugs is easy as shit if you have the right tools and a little common knowledge...

Heres how I did mine.

1.Remove the intake hose and intake filter housing.
2. Remove the bolts (7mm) from the COP
3. Get a shopVac and vaccuum around the hole before unscrewing the plug. Doing this helps prevent debris from falling in the chamber.
4. Take a spark plug socket (i think its a 5/8) Ill ahve to check after I post this. Now place it down in the hole and push down and make sure that the socket is snug on the plugs.
5. Pull out the old spark plug and take pics of it. insepect it for damage.
6. Pull out the new plug and make sure the gap is .054 with a spark plug gap gauge
7.Put anti seize around the new spark plug's threads
8. put new spark plug into spark plug socket and make sure its in there snug
9. to avoid cross threading, spin the plug backs as if you were lossening it to align the threads. now tighten it down WITH YOU FINGERS on the exentsion, not the wrench. It should go in smoothly
10. torque it down to 15ft lbs or a little more than snug. use a 3/8s ratchet and put a little effort into it. not much though.
11. On cylinders 3 and 4 when its numbered qith the passenger side going numerically, youll need a swivel. itll be a tight squeeze into those, but youll be fine.

On cylinder number 4, go behind all the hosing and put the socket in fropm the backside. youll see what I mean

you undo the intake from the throttle body. the TB does not get in your way whatsoever. the only things that gets in the way are the injectors, but you can work around them.

thats all you need. And yes its a 5/8s spark plug socket. theres an old spark plug that I took out of mine in the socket to show you...

also when tightening down the plugs, put sctoch tape/duct tape around the socket and swivel. the socket will want to stay with the spark plug when you try to pull up

The stock platinum plugs are good for more than 49k especially if you car is mostly stock. It wouldnt hurt to change them, I just wouldnt pay someone to do it for you yet. But its a cake job if you have a lil mechanical know-how
