master bearing kit

I got my my shop down to 250 for the install,so im going to put in some gears next week,My question is should i buy the master bearing kit from American muscle,or im okay???i have 114k

+1 I had them replace my axle bearings and seals as well. Now its all fresh.

$250 seems high to me. You may want to talk to some guys at some shops/dealerships and see if anyone does side work. I got mine done for $125

definately get the bearing kit, and $250 is on the high side..

it was 400 before,this is the only shop i trust,I think there charging so much cause there a honda/import shop and dont do gears everday,Im the only muscle car everseen at the shop

im also trying to keep this as cheap as I can,thats why i was hoping I wouldnt have to buy the master kit

I personally would do the bearing kit on anything over 60K. You don't want to do the job twice.
Where are you living that a shop is charging so much to do a gear swap?

2 hours from La,by santa barbara,other shops told me 900,500,600,install only, ive called around,but where i live everone has ricer's,all the shops here are ricer shops

do not cheap out on a gear install! if your short on cash save a little more & do it next month/etc. having someone do them that doesnt know what there doing (ie.ricer shop/etc) is a 100% for shure disaster! besides prices are a reginal thing, $250.00 is an excelent price around here (pgh. pa)
