everyone do yourself a favor.

do not buy anything form texas hot rod. the company is a joke and the customer sevive is a joke.and i was dealing with owner whole time. i baught a v2sq supercharger and it took 1 month to come in and every time i called i would go right to voicemail and my calls were never returned and twice i even (no joke) was put on hold for 20 minutes plus before i hung up.
now one month later kit comes in and surprise i order it with a 12psi pulley and the stock 7-8 comes with it. then i was told it would be takin care of and ofcourse i'm still waiting for that with no returned call or email.to top it off he was suppose to throw in a set of ngk plugs (which were on receipt) and they never showed up. poor poor service he sure didn't have a problem taking my $3500 bucks
save yourself the trouble and dont buy from them

I had a bad dealing with them as well. I was looking for Patriot heads and was going to buy from Summit. Lizzie from THR talked me out of it by saying (I can quote her saying this from another site) that the heads from Summit are remanufactured and THR only sells new Patriot heads. I gave them $1500+ of my money, got my heads and had an issue with them. I call THR and get no response or return call. After a few days I call Patriot and talk to Gunnar that said that all their heads for the past 2+ years are remanufactured EVEN THE HEADS THAT THR SELLS!!!! So I was flat out lied to so they could make a sale. By now I've emailed THR since they won't return my car, and got no response there. A few weeks go by and I post this on mustangforums.com, they site that I'm a member of and the site where all this took place. Needless to say I copied and pasted her lies along with the email that I sent. Well THR is a site sponsor so the admin there deleted my thread. But not before it went like 4 pages of countless other people that got stiffed by them but didn't want to speak up and step on any toes.
Brian the owner of THR finally go around to calling me (only because the admin brought it to his attention of the thread I posted) and all he could offer me was excuses. Bitching and crying about how busy they are that they can't answer the phone, return call or even check emails. Basically they'll return a call to make a sale and that it!!!
I would never buy from THR along with a few other companies out there!

WIN $100.00 and other prizes. LOOK INSIDE
read reply # 14 (she clearly states that their heads are BRAND NEW)

here's the email I sent. I put in the subject line that I had a problem with THR (I don't know about you but even if I'm busy, that would get my attention)

I ordered a set of Patriot Performance heads from ya'll a couple months back and I was going to buy from Summit Racing but I was told by Lizzie that their (Summit) heads are remanufactured and yours (THR) were new. I didn't misunderstand this because I was also told that between you and Summit it would be "comparing NEW APPLES TO OLD APPLES."
Needless to say I had the motor assembled with the heads from THR and put into my car and I ran into an issue with the heads. I called THR over 2 weeks ago and left a DETAILED message about my problem and requested a call back. We'll it's been 2 weeks and still no call back. I called Patriot Performance directly and asked about the heads and was told that ALL their 2V mustang heads are REMANUFACTURED!!!!!! So basically I was mislead/ lied to so I would purchase the heads from THR instead of else where. I can honestly say that this has left a bad taste in my mouth and being ignored when I had a problem has made it even worse. I would appreciate some sort of response to this and an explanation as to why I was told the heads were new when they were in fact remanufactured.
Thanks,
Mike

Good to know. I almost bought my mid pipe from them but I went with AM because they have had great service for me so far. AM is the best place I have dealt with so far

This should really be in the vendor reviews section. There may be threads about this already.

It's unfortunate they are having problems adapting to success. I haven't talked to them in a while, but they used to have outstanding customer service.

Hearing stories like this really pisses me off: it sounds like they started out small and grew to a succesful business. They probably had good customer service to begin with, but once they got more popular that went straight out the window. I hope a lot of guys on here stop buying from them until they can get their act together.

Better yet, I hope that one of their reps will come on here and try to explain all this. Of course, they'll probably just give some bullshit answer of how "they're striving everyday to improve their customer service."
