installing my procharger!!! few questions though.

ok, my procharger finally came and is halfway installed! sorry for not giving everyone the update, but it all came and all the parts and pieces were there . the head unit is in perfect condition, everything except for the air filter and also the L bracket for the upper intercooler mounting flange (i don't even know what this is, it just says in the instructions and its not there).

so far i have the injectors, fuel pressure switch, head unit, intercooler, piping, and belt hooked up but i need a little help.

so, couple questions...

1) how do you run the MAF plug to the MAF? its relocated into the fender and the wire is way too short, how should i fix this?

2) does anyone know how the upper part of the intercooler (flange) connects to the hood latch support?

3) the rubber connector for the maf is made for the stock maf. i have a 90mm maf and need a 4" inner diameter piece of tubing to fit over the bigger maf, and the rubber connector has to be tapered to be able to accomodate the 2.5in piping that connects to the other side of the rubber connector.. anyone know where i can get something like this?

also, if anyone knows where i can get a decent Blow off valve and an air filter for a decent price please let me know.

1) you add an extra length of wire to each of the wires in the harness

3) you can get all kinds of silicone reducers and hoses on ebay or just search on google for silicone reducers.. if your maf is only 90mm why do you need a 4" hose? I had a 100mm maf that needed a 4" hose.

eBay Motors: 3.5" to 2.5" Silicone silicon reducer coupler black (item 310068614580 end time Jul-26-08 22:57:24 PDT)

I bought a Greddy Type-RS bov on ebay and it sounds good and I bought a K&N air filter but its up to you if you want to pay that much.. originally I bought one of the universal filters at autozone

eBay Motors: GREDDY TYPE-RS BLOW OFF VALVE BOV KIT EVO 8 MR2 300Z (item 280248448618 end time Jul-26-08 00:18:26 PDT)

1. I just unclipped the harness and was able to make it reach the MAF.

2. You dont re-use the that support bar, the hood will still close fine. Just toss that.

Your MAF is in the fender, is it before the s/c?

it may be a bigger maf than i thought though, because i measured it and its 4 inches in diameter so i'm gonna need a big reducer sleeve.

Jeez! Your farther than me!!! WTF!

so, couple questions...

1) how do you run the MAF plug to the MAF? its relocated into the fender and the wire is way too short, how should i fix this?

Havent gotten that far, but either unstrap the wiring and pull it through or lengthen the wires.

2) does anyone know how the upper part of the intercooler (flange) connects to the hood latch support?

Procharger told me you dont have to use this, however, it should tell you in the manual how to hook it up. I havent gotten that far yet!

I ordered one from a turbohoses place out in california. I googled for silicone transition hoses and it popped up.

also, if anyone knows where i can get a decent Blow off valve and an air filter for a decent price please let me know.
Is there a problem with the BOV/Surge valve? If it isnt working, then I would get the one from procharger. let me know if you need to know how to check it. The air filter you can get anything. I have the procharger one, but I am sure a K&N will fit to. Just make sure it is the same opening for the filter to the elbow.

Why do you have a maf that big? You are going to lose a lot of down low resolution in your tune and the bigger maf isn't going to help if it's mated to 2.5" piping. I would get a powerpipe if I were you then it would be 4" all the way to the supercharger.

the maf is after the supercharger, its blow through. and i don't know, it just came with the kit.. i measured the stock maf and its about 3 inches in diameter so its not like 4 inches is all that huge compared to stock. i dunno though i'm new at all this stuff this is the first supercharger i've ever installed.

Oh okay, I thought it was draw through for some reason. You shouldn't need to extend the wiring harness then. If it came with the kit why doesn't the kit come with the reducer?
