First and foremost, massive chops to AC for always being a fantastic resource on this site. The only downside to that is he is probably constantly bombarded with PM's and emails with questions...

I'm hoping to achieve a 350 rwhp N/A Mustang soon. I already am at 318 right now, but with little mods left to do to the engine. I have plans to install an A/C delete, electric water pump, and possiblyaluminum driveshaft, but I'm not sure if that will get me to my goal. I've compared my specs to the ones posted in this thread at the Mafia site:

Him: ----------------------------- Me:

Cast iron GT block bored .020" ----- Stock Block Bored and Honed .020

MMR H-beam Rods ---------------- Manley Rods

Diamond Flat top pistons ---------- JE/SRP Pistons

Total seal rings ------------------- ???

Patriot Stage II heads ------------- Ported Stock Heads

Custom ground Comp cams -------- VT Stage II S/C Cams
I: 250@.050"; E: 246@ .050";
110 degrees of lobe seperation;
.545" lift both sides.

Stock valve train ----------------- 2V Valvesprings, 3 Angle Competition Valve Job, ModMax Valves

JLT CAI -------------------------- Densecharger Cold Air Intake

75mm Throttle Body -------------- 75mm Accufab Throttlebody

Accufab Plenum ------------------ Accufab Plenum (I think)

BBK 1-58" primary headers -------- MAC Long Tube Headers

PI intake ------------------------- Reichard Racing 4.6 Liter 2V Intake

UD pullies ------------------------ BBK Underdrive Pulleys

Spec Aluminum Flywheel ---------- Stock

Stock Driveshaft ----------------- Stock

Tremec 3650 Transmission -------- Billet Racing Transmission Rebuild (Rick's Car Care)

Other hp-related mods:

Diablo Sport Predator Chip w/ Datalogger
MAC Prochamber
Flowmaster Mufflers

I am MAD jealous of GT4.6's mods... I wish I had the money to continue to build up the suspension and drivetrain. With my Navy paycheck, a little bit at a time is all I can do. Any suggestions to get me to the 350 mark are greatly appreciated.

3 things. first, the stock GT block is cast iron, so u have the same block. second, i would go with steede udps rather than bbk, and lastly, if ur gonna upgrade ur tranny, you should upgrade the clutch too

I don't have the stock clutch... I upgraded that a while ago, just don't remember what it is.

Why do the Steeda UDP's > BBK UDP's?

this ramp is actually called the jerk...

that gets into calculus:

derivative of displacement= velocity
derivative of velocity= acceleration
derivative of acceleration=jerk

its the change of rate of the acceleration

my god 2 engineering degrees did teach me one thing
