The intake you have is fine. Just run a dry shot with larger injectors. It will alleviate any lean spike if set up correctly as well.

the dry shot realm is fairly new to me. I understand that the injectors supply the needed fuel instead of tapping the fuel rail. Would I have to sell my whole set up and by a dry one?

Remember to take my advice and ponder it before making any decisions. I have my opinions based on my own experiences in the past few years, and our goals may not be the same. For instance, if you don't have access to a good tuner, you might be better with a wet shot of 125-150 than a dry shot due to the tuning aspect.

Very true. I try to take a little something from everybody I meet and use it to my advantage. I have been deployed to Iraq since last November, and I have about three weeks til we head for home. I am set to leave Alaska sometime next year, so I will have a tuner in my duty station more than likely. Rumor has it that a dyno shop opened up in Alaska while I was gone, so we shall see.
I have heard of having pooling problems in the intakes before. I don't want to be that one that hears that boom and feels my stomache drop. I only got 50, 100, 150 shot jets with the kit I bought. the 100 was a very fun experience, and I can only imagine spinning it higher with a point and half more compression. basically everyone has told me that you can't really beat the PI intake unless you are doing a drag type build, or running lots of N2O. I guess I will let it stay at the 100 and get used to that and once I get around a good tuner, see about bumping to the 150. I will be using ceramic coated pistons for a little added insurance. Thanks for all your input. If you think of anything else, don't hesitate to speak up. |

Sorry to read that your old ride with so much development is gone. I learned a lot lurking and reading here. Good luck with the new set up.

I prefer the term "butt-monger" if you don't mind. Gay is so 2008.
