i was coming home from the movies last night at about 1 in the morning with my 2 friends. when i was going down the highway i was only doing about 50 because of the rain i slowed down a little more when i was on the over pass. then when i started going downhill the car hydroplaned and the front tires grabbed right (i was in the left lane)(2 lanes wide with a really wide shoulder). my car spun out to the right and did a 270 backwards into the curb originally to my right. my back left wheel got ripped off and my whole rear end is screwed. so my backleft wheel is cracked my front left is bent up and i need new tires for the back, new rear end including brake assembly for the left side. my back left tail light is cracked as well as my rear bumper destroyed. im just glad were all ok.

ill post pictures in a little bit.

although it sucks i might be able to get a gears and a set of 31 spline axles.

Definitely give you props for the slow driving in the rain. I got out of work at 1230 am, it was raining like mad up here in ny, and i got to watch somebody spin out on my drive home..It was kinda scary just to watch ya know?

Anyway, be glad you didn't dent either of the quarter panels. Mine's dented, it's going to be a thousand for them to knock the dents out, and almost 2000 if i wanted to get a new one put on and painted. Besides, wrecks are always a good time to start looking at more mods.

man that sucks i had to drive through the rain with baldass nittos in the rear today and now i see this man i glad i didnt get that unlucky. my rearend was swaying left and right bad and i was the slowest diver on the road. but at least you get to upgrade the rear even if you didnt want to, so you at least get something out of it besides one hell of a scare.

yeah about 30 seconds before i hydroplaned i was saying how shitty these 555rs in the rain. i put alot more miles than most people do and it had been raining for a few hours. just take it easy i wasnt goofing off or anything i just hit water and those fat bald tires just slid and there was nothing i could do.

yeah. depending on whats messed up it might make it faster. if the whole rear end is done i can get 4:10s with a 31 spline and axles so i can start running slicks. and im not sure if my H or catback was damaged.

ive been thinking about finding a cobra rear end from the junkyard. are there any other cars that share that 31 spline set up?

UHmmm I think explorers use a 31 spline and i believe steep gears. I wanna say 3.73s...
