It claims 21.5hp over stock. I find that hard to believe with just the swap of an intake. Maybe with some other goodies workin with it. But it looks kinda cool.

once junk always junk, again everyone for the money our stock intake's work just fine. There are a million other things that will help the car go faster and run better for the money than a crappy intake

I was thinking about the typhoon, I was told the shorter runner length is better for spray. Is that true? If so is it worth the money then?

there are pros and cons to runner length. runner lenght, plenum area, induction type, etc are all factors in selecting an intake manifold. like any other intake discussion, the stocker is fine for 90% of the 99+ gt's.

+1

Theres so many different aspects to the design of an intake manifold that it's unreal...So many of the ones you see, even the high quality ones like Edelbrock, use short runners which do give you more horsepower, if it can run at 7-8k rpms. And most of them tell you you need heads and cams to see the gains that they have. Then they talk about increased airflow and plenum area, and the problem there can be unless you've got huge horsepower you're losing velocity, and therefore more low end torque which the 4.6 is already lacking anyway...

Frankly what someone needs to do is just remake the factory manifold in aluminum...The closest that I've seen to that is this one even then, that's really only useful if you're going to be pumping outrageous amounts of boost or something through it and you've cracked your factory one. For most of us, it's just not a worthwhile mod and most intake manifolds can cause you to lose power anyway..

Well it may be plastic but atleast it doesn't heat soak like a aluminum manifold, any aftermarket manifold will just add weight and kill your power unless you got serious mods, that being 500+rwhp. The stock PI manifold is great.

As one who is currently using a Professional Products Typhoon intake and fuel rail system I can speak from experience that the quality of the products are not worth wasting your money on. In the first place, there was NO horsepower gain at all. Also, in the 3 months I have had the intake on, one of the fuel injector mounts broke off, and I have had 2 bolts holes strip out including one that bolts my plenum down. The fuel rails look cool, until you rub one or bump something against it and the blue color comes right off! Very terrible craftsmanship all around! I would not recommend either one of these products. If you really feel the need to change the intake, I would say go with the Trick Flow Trackheat.

I have a fully ported tyhpoon and it seems to work pretty good. It took a little work to get it mounted. I felt a decent gain up top with it, and I ran .2 faster in the quarter. Dunno if it was all the intake buts thats the only mod Ive done since I went to the track last. Its not the best intake, but I got a decent deal on it.
