HP Performance Twin Turbo

I've been looking into this turbo system for quite some time now and I would like to know everyone's opinions on here. I'm looking at getting the Stage II kit and having my local performance shop hook it all up for me. They did my buddy's Sentra Spec-V and did a really amazing job on it. I was also wondering if i would need any other mods done besides what's listed on the website here . I've heard a bunch about having to get chassis stiffening and I'm supposed to get a cage to meet NMRA specifications for convertibles (12.99 or faster needs an approved cage). So anything that can help me out would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time and let's get some good feedback.

p.s.
Here's the website jus incase you missed it in that paragraph.

Extra info wanted

www.bluemustangsociety.com • View topic - *NEW* HP HOT SIDE TWIN TURBO KIT

I'm just waiting on emails about them for more info. I'm probably going to go with that kit if the price is right, but may buy the turbos elsewhere.

This is the kit I have on my car. The kit itself works fine, however be WARNED that HP will take forever to get the parts out to you, and when they do you will most likely be missing some parts and you will have to go back and forth with them from awhile to get everything all together.

Despite the fact that HP manages to mess it up in so many ways like stated above, the turbo kit itself is pretty good quality. The only thing I had an issue with was my H-pipe they sent me (might be an x-pipe on the kit now) was improperly cut and i had to end up getting a custom peice of pipeing welded in.

Also, make sure you talk to your tuner. You might want to get the chip delete so that way you can put that money towards the chip your tuner is most comfortable with.

Thats why I'm piecing it together myself. I'm gettin the piping from HP, Turbos from possibly ATP, Intercooler from HP, having a shop here do the tuning, Misc stuff such as BOV, turbo timer, fuel pump, and fuel injectors dunno yet

i dont think these are a must for what you want to do right now, but im sure some s/f connects would help and some upper/lower control arms. theyre pretty cheap mods that help a lot. im not sure how many miles you have on your rear diff but you might want to beaf that up some. i busted mine in my 97gt and since ive been real paraonoid. i mean, what good is all that power if you cant get it down without breaking somethin. im pretty sure none of these are a must but you'll def benefit from them and its not very expensive.

i dunno just something to ponder.

All the suspension components are fine, and the coilovers are adjustable so you can match them with the rear.

Subframe connectors are definetley a good invest once you start putting down that much power.

the subframe connectors are required if you want your doors to close right after a year of driving with that kit. The torque from your engine will twist your chassis without the subrfame connectors. As for your rear end. You will need a new clutch and it would be a good idea to get new diff and axles since the stock axels are spotty in old age with 500hp. especially if you are drag racer.

The suspension from the kit is all up front so that you can fit all of the tubing. The rear suspension stock will work but you will definitely benefit from some new control arms and such. The axle wind up on stock suspension is rediculous. Especially with drag radials and more power.

He's talkin about forged internals, Pistons, rods and crank. I'd lower the compression ratio a bit too.

Copied from here: http://www.moddedmustangs.com/forums...gt-vs-evo.html

TT Mustang Bullitt (me)
-HP Twin Turbo Kit @ 7 psi
-Entire suspension redone (tubular front, adjustable coilovers, control arms, etc..
-Full bolt-ons (short throw, UDP, exhaust, etc...)
-Stock engine, transmission, and rear-end
-And, yes, 4.10's and DR's

As you can see, I am running stock engine, tranny, and rear-end. I have not yet had a problem (about 1 year). Although I do not do extremely hard launches and the Bullitt model came with a bigger flywheel/clutch than the normal gt model.

I also put H&R sport springs in the rear along with upper/lower control arms to compliment all the front suspension that comes in the kit.

Edit:
I would say that my car is very streetable with the turbos, the only thing with my car is that it is very low so some speedbumps and pulling in places can be a pain sometimes. If your worried about emissions, you can have some aftermarket cats welded in(the kit does not come with them), make sure you do that before you get it tuned though, so you don't have to re-tune it. Also you'll have to "rig" the egr to work with the kit/ pass emissions.

Oh, and if your going with the HP kit, make sure to do a grill delete so everyone can see those BOVs
