Bushings and Ball Joint Question

i have this bushing kit from steeda
http://www.steeda.com/products/steed...ushing_kits.ph
i went to a shop today to get them installed and they wanted $300. is this a job that i can do at my house? has anybody else changed thier bushings?

and i got lots of squeeking comeing from the front and the mec told me it was the ball joints. 2 options
$129 Steeda X-2
$49 Ford OEM

are the Steedas a lot better or OEM are fine?
both of these are upper. do i need lowers also?

i have herd of ball joints making a clunking sound but never a squeeking sound ,sounds more like a bushing problem to me

as for the link posted id think your better off going with upper and lower controll arms , you could get em with bushings for about 200 bucks and they come with polly bushings then just buy the a arm bushings
you could prolly find a better deal here Energy Suspension, MUSTANG, FORD - summitracing.com
