i think that means that for some reason or another ur ABS is not functioning...it sounds puzzling cuz i'm sure ur car still breaks normally...this happend on my 2000 f-150...the mechanics told me that my ABS stopped working and it was up to me whether i wanted to fix it...haha whata mechanich right!

Yah it still breaks like regular. The only problem is the light is annoying? Is there a way just to turn the light off or should I have it checked out?

when i put me wheels on, i bumped the dust shield just enough to get close to the rotor. my abs light came on. i wouldnt think this would do it, but it did. might want to check it out.

never had it happen in my Mustang but in my cavalier, it happens everytime I "stealth start" (roll down the hill in neutral and crank)

It will stay on for a sec. at initial start up. Then it should go out. If the light comes on its saying there is a problem with ABS. Youre normal breaks will still function normally but jam on tghe breaks and its up to you to control youre car now.

You can either live with the light being on and not have ABS anymore. Or you can get it checked out. A few things could be happening. either you
have a cracked tone ring, have something on the sensor or just a bad sensor, or the abs module is bad.

things to look for.... the module being bad will set the light and not have abs. A bad tone ring, or snesor will cause the abs to come on and off randomly. Does youre abs activate randomly?

The breaks have not changed at all since it came on so I think the sensor is bad Im heading in to the local Ford today so hopefully its not something expensive to fix.

Im not saying its deff. not the sensor because i have seen some bad sensors not effect breaking. But if the sensor was bad, it would make on of the wheels think its going at a different speed than the others. So the ABS would activate and kinda give a vibration in the break pedal. Let us know how it turns out.

It ended up being that the computer just went nuts and decied to turn the light on. The ABS was still working fine so they just turned the light off for me.

Nothing else unless it happens again or I notice anything in the breaks.
