I have a 2002 Mustang GT running Nitto Drag Radials and I can't seem to get them to hook off the line. I have my 2 step set at 3k and running 15 psi in the tires. Any suggestions? I also have a video I could upload if you want to see.

They got heated. I was told that with the Nitto you really have to heat them up so I probably did a 10 sec burnout. Think I should do longer?

When I left off the 2 step it was the last run of the night and I just dumped the clutch and went. It spun through 1st and still had a 13.57. The other times I left aggresively off the clutch

i havent been to the track yet but on the street i launch at like 2800 and feather the clucth out while gradually giving more gas

rite around 4500 the clcuth is all the way out and the gas is at WOT

i dont spin at all...

With drag radials and the traction additive at the track they shouldnt spinat 3k. Theres NMRA guys leaving the line at 10k on drag radials

and i know for a fact if a i luach at 2500 and just side step the clucth ill spin a little

you gotta feather it out

Yeah these were only to get me through the year. Next year I'll be running Hoosers on 15" Weld Pro Stars

I assume he is talking about a full prepd track man..huge differnce. I dumpd my clutch at 2500 and it scared me how good i hooked on my BFGs. Try a longer burn out..are maybe go to a wider tire. I have 315s so that might be the issue

Ya something is not right..with drs..lower pressure and a prep'd track he should have no problem hooking on nitto dr's. I feather the clutch so i dont break my stock rear..but damn if i do when that gets beefed up..i cant wait to drop the car at a good rpm and see what those expensive tires can really do
