Amazing Cars

I Have been lurking here for quite awhile and reading in on just about every post in the 99-04 section, I read the Sigs and look into garages, and the list of Mods everyone has is astounding. Im happy as a pig in crap whenever i get to leave it in 2nd or 3rd gear and romp onto the highway, (When no one is around.) I just love the acceleration and sound, and I have to say, if a Stock 04 GT, with nothing more than all weather tires and a K&N CAI do that, i can only begin to fathom what some mods will do. Just wanted to say i absolutely LOVE these cars, and i wanted to Commend you all for all your hard work and dedication to keep them alive over the years!

Well, when I came back from my first tour in Afghanistan i was addicted to adrenaline, something about getting shot at, adrenaline rush, and when i came home there was nothing. I bought my GT while i was overseas and it was waiting for me when i got home in 2004, and for those 9 months i was home between my first and second tour, let me tell you, Adrenaline rush??? Found out my car was governed at 151 by doing it on the roads. I dont claim I am experienced, becuase i leave that to you guys who do it professionally, but i have done my fair share of dangerous and stupid things. But ive calmed down a lot and i got nervous at 145, i calmed down after my second tour. Like all the rest i have my dream plans and goals for my car, and i hope to get more and more involved, fortunately the more i get involved the more aware i am of my car and the less stupid stuff i do on the highway... (I dont speed on back roads, i here kids are expensive to hit...) But like i said before, you guys are great and i enjoy reading the new threads and jokes everyday!

Ok, soo maybe i wont be going that far.. i've been looking into the 5.4 conversions that seem all the craze, (2V 5.4 that is) just to be different and something that no one has done where i live. BUT Praise is definitely deserved for Tim Lynch and his INCREDIBLE Stang of Doom!

440 RWHP feels slow, well, i can fathom that, after awhile 145 felt slow on the highway through traffic, (old habits that died fast) but when i told other people that i did that they were amazed and disgusted. This is my goal, Im looking into a 5.4 slightly modified, 4.10s, eventuality of the MM Ultimate suspension box. I have but one car im looking to go after for a rematch, the BMW M5. Its the only car around here that beat me sooo bad i nearly cried. I was at 151, and he rolled down his window, flipped me off and took off like i was standing still, it was very traumatic... I talked about getting a T56 to go with my M5 killer package, but i was talked out of it, the T56 is no longer being built and parts will run scarce, and they are releasing a new 6 speed. Im thinking that with the 5.4 and 4.10s the extra overdrive will help maintain a slightly better gas mileage when not in racing mode.

modding is like heroine in the form of car parts...you do it once then you want to do it again...then next thing you know your taken money from your parents...and pawning other peoples shit...performing sexual favors for money until one day you try to score from a undercover cop and end up in jail and rehab...

hahaha

I stopped going that fast a while ago, it was getting rediculous. I knew my issue and learned how to control it, thats why im not boasting about how fast i went, there are other people around here that go faster and any idiot can put his foot to the floor and go fast. As for KhaosGT, I hope it doesnt go that far, I plan around deployments the money is better and none of the people i know have anything worth Pawning, 'cept for guns, and i likes guns to much to pawn them!
