check engine light on with mil eliminators


just put a h pipe on and a set of bbk mil eliminators on my 00 gt and getting a lean code from o2's ,i installed the mil's on the rear two o2's and still a light popped on about 20 mins later never had a lean code before need help

Try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes...

You should not be getting codes if you installed mils and they are working properly...

at low rpm's my light is still on....... took back and got a new set and the same and anyone tell me why?

you might have to reset the computer but when i put my x-pipe i put the o2's back in and it was ok

Did you try disconnecting your battery for a bit? To reset everything...

turn off the rear o2s with the tuner.

^+1......while your H pipe was being installed,was your battery disconnected? if not,your MILs might have gone to shit!

Did you get the plug in mils or the splice in mils?

I have heard alot of people having this same issue with the splice in type...

i had the same problem.....i ended up replacing the upstream 02 sensor on bank 2 (drivers side) and its running fine now, no code

I was getting the codes too. I had actually bought new O2 sensors and the extension harnesses. Got the MIL's on the rear and still getting check engine light. So, I ordered a set of used O2 sensors from a '00 GT in a junkyard. Haven't received them yet though, but I'm hoping they work. My car drives like crap at low rpm's right now.
