if its blown bad enough it should. do you have to keep adding coolant? any overheating problems?

i havent drove the car yet. it was sittin at the radiator shop while they were fabricating my radiator setup and they said when they turned it on it was running fine and everything but the radiator was filling with oil/water. it doesnt leak externally at all. but i find it weird how it ran fine when they started it but when i went to look at it it wont even stay on...idk. but they said its either at blown head gasket, intake gasket, cracked block, or warped head. i doubt its a block or head. what do you guys think?

i dnt think its something you can guess, you have to do test to narrow down what it might be. it the head or block were cracked, and everyone feel free to correct me, but im sure youd lose compression on the cylinder that is cracked, so it would miss and wouldnt idle correctly. check the oil, if you can get it to stay running see if it overheates. also smoke from exhaust should be major if its head gasket problem

Funny you should mention a new motor. I got a call from a guy yesterday who has over 50 brand new 4.6L from 04 cars, with transmissions. Zero miles. He is asking $4500.00 per assembly + shipping.

Probably just the head gasket. head change kit for 120 plus labor is cheaper than a whole new motor. No need to freak out about the motor being wasted til you pull the head off.
