Tranny fluid change...

I wanna change my tranny fluid before i head down to Atco to run my car this weekend. Its got around 25,000 on it or so on a 02 saleen. What's the best brand to use and where could i pick some up? Should i change the filter also? Is this a difficult task to do or pretty straight forward?

its fine... if its the t3650 which it should be unless they slapped the t56 in the Saleens, buy Mobil 1 Mercon V Automatic Transmission Fluid.

3.7 Quarts is what your gonna need. YOu have 2 choices to fill it up though. get the car raise up on all fours and evenly and fill it from the fill plug on the passenger side of the tranny, or fill it from the shifter.

by filling it from the fill hole, you get the exact amount with no guessing, but it takes much longer.

Acutally i think if its a 3650, the revised fill capacity is like 3.2 dont quote me on that. And use non syn. trans fluid.
