you do have to upgrade springs with the stage 2 cams. i did them with the 262's in my car. do them anyways.

if i remember you have to notch the pistons for the stage 3 cams. not to mention that you have to have some serious engine and head work to take advantage off them. the powerband would be so high that on a stock engine you would never be able to spin it high enough.

well if thats the case i retract my last statement. i would say youd be better off with a stage 2. the stage 3 sounds badass but is hard to tune for and wont idle or drive down low in the rms nice at all. wont make power till way up there. i also am running a stroker with stage 2 vt heads and comps stage 2 cams. i say stay away form the stage 3 unless its a track only car.

i didnt know you were doing head and intake work. do the stage 2 cams. the stage 3 cams are still out of your rpm range for a stock bottom end.

well if hes doing a stroker motor hes gonna have a forged bottem end so he can take the roms but why put your power that hgih in the rev range. ive got stage 2s and it doesnt come on hard untill about 3300-3500 and i stop making power at 6400
