you just use a fuel line disconnect tool like on the fuel filter. is there a specific reason why you are taking the headers off as well?

im takin the heads off. so far i've got everything except the timing cover, headers, and timing chains off. i think it may take me another two hours or so tomorrow night and then ill be done. so far everythings goin good. i havent had any problems and its my first time doing it, im labeling everything and all the bolts/nuts/studs are in bags labeled to what they go to. the only thing i might have trouble with is labeling the timing cover bolts. anyone done this before and know a good way of remembering which go where?? thanks again guys.

I use blue painters tape to tape all the bolts to the piece they come off of, or into the hole they came from, and if i'm following directions i label the step number too.

i knew the head bolts were but i didnt know the cam bolts were. i think the head bolts have been taken off and re used though because they have white lines across em like someone put on them to tell how far they were turning them.

This one worked perfect for me. The smallest size should do.

Lisle AC/Fuel Line Disconnect Tool Set

Warning the KD Tools Ford A/C and Fuel Line Spring Lock Coupling Tool did not work for me.

I didnt bother pulling the fuel rails...i just wrapped up the rails in a towel and draped it off the side of the car.
