BAP wiring upgrade needed??

i dont know too much about the boost a pump so i got a couple ?'s. 20 amp vs. 40 amp????? which one. wiring upgrade???? needed or not? I have a supercharged 00 gt with a procharger at 350hp. my tuner said it started running lean on him. i dont know how it ran lean. i thought that the gt supercar pump was good for at least 400 hp. its never ran lean on me at WOT. anyway my goal is to be around or a lil over 400hp. im getting the rest of the mods to get me there but needed to know which way to go on the BAP. if any1 has one they may be willing to sell ... let me know.

20 amp is for a single fuel pump, 40 is for dual pumps (cobra setup). You dont need a wiring upgrade... the bap should put you where you want to be, a little extra out of your pump. Did you change fuel filter recently? And what size injectors?

Really? could be problem there lol. Dirty filter will restrict the flow. I would replace the filter and get a bap so you have room to grow, and piece of mind you wont go lean.

If filter is bad you might not even need the bap, but would suck having to go back to the tuners again.

yeah the bap is a must.... why not. haha. aight good deal... thanks bro for the quick response. these things pretty simple to hook up... i did my procharger and ic install and pump install, etc. so should the bap be pretty simple?

Baps easy. Only thing that will take awhile is hiding the wire to reach the engine bay for the hobbs sensor (if you use it). Other stuff is simple splicing to the fpdm and a ground.

I would replace the filter, might as well. Cheap and worth it. Who knows when it was changed last...

you might want to call kenne bell and talk to them. i have a focus pump with 425 rwhp i went lean and got the bap. kenne bell told me to get the 40 amp. if i were you I would just go with that. its only a few bucks more anyways.

If you have plans for more power in the future, go with the 40A, wire upgrade, and wire it pre-fpdm with no hobbs switch so the tune can adjust the fuel volts.

aight cool good info. I just thought the 40 amp could not be used on a single pump.
