problem solved, get the DRs and call it a day. I would guess that a 195/35/18dr will hold better than a 315/35/18 street tire. Its like someone poured super glue all over your tires!

You Really Have To Research This To Get The Most Rubber On The Ground. 305 18s Have A Larger Footprint Than 315 17s. It Has To Do With The Side Wall Height That Affects The Way The Tire Rests Under Load. I Believe It Also Varies By Brand So You Really Need To Look Into Your Options.

But having more sidewall on a 17" wheel (same final tire diameter) will get better traction because the sidewall can give.

Tru, however and im using Nittos size for this comparison, the 17 when compared to the 305 18 option with the smallest side only has .18" more sidewall. you could get a higher profile and eaisly beat that. If you go to the next profile size, 40 up from 35, you gain almost a half inch in side wall and have the same size foot print. So it depends on a lot.

^ first off I think we all have the same disease thats why we're all members on this thread, second of all I just personally thought your numbers were a little high but I gave you the benefit of the doubt, thats why I never said anything. And take a chill pill no need to get all riled up over something silly. However I still think CA will make a world of difference in your traction issue.

Studies show that 92% of kids listen to rap. If you are one of the 8% who still listens to real music put this in your signature.

I think I know your problem.

try not fully flooring it in first.
roll into WOT instead of popping the clutch ( if you have a 5 spd) and hammering it.
try that and see if it helps you any.

get some Drag Radials

the nitto's are good if you want to run them everyday, but in the grand scheme of things they aren't shit compared to the m/t, m&h, and hoosier dr's

if you want something for track use, then go with one of those
