can i put a remote start system like the viper one my dad has on his truck on my stang. its a stick though and u have to have the clutch in before it will start. but would the remote start override that?

you really are not supposed to put them in cars with sticks for obvious reasons.. yes it can be done but i think it is illegal

well, unless i'm on a hill i usually just use the e-brake to park. but i guess it doesnt sound like the safest thing. it was just an idea.

yeah i knew a guy that put it on his stick truck and he turned it on one day and it ran into a garage, don't do it on a manual transmission car. it is not worth it.

I know you think it'd be a cool feature... but, on a manual... it'd probably be safer to park the car on a 90 degree angle with in neutral with no ebrake.

i have the viper 791xv with remote start and i have it functional on my car which is a manual. just make it a habit to always use your ebrake and dont leave it in gear!

I would not do it...I would not have a remote start on a manual car...Too many bad possibilities...

It could be okay if you were responsible... but... your never going to remember everytime not to leave it in gear and not to leave the ebrake on.

It just so happens, the one time you don't remember... your going to be parked in front of a elementary school and there are going to be dozens of kids running across the crosswalk which is right in front of your car... your going to hit the remote start....

And bam, now you need a new paint job because you got blood all over it.

In all seriousness though, I had a jeep (manual) with remote start. It was nice when it worked, the remote was messed up though and I never replaced it. I'd say though as long as you remember the ebrake it's no big deal, i never had a problem with it.... I used it alot too, and i live in virginia so there are tons of hills and uneven land.

It's a nice thing to have in the winter too, just turn turn the heat on and all way up before you shut the car off, then 5 mins before you leave just hit the remote start in the morning and it's nice and toasty when you get it.

Would be even sexier to have a stang though, get her growling before you ever step foot out of work/house.
