non power adding parts
Is a lightweight drive shaft really worth the 250 clams that I would have to spend on it. Also I know the electric water pump would free up some power but I don't know how much those cost, or how to install one....
I appreciate any help. |

In your application....no.
You would be better served to spend that money somewhere else.

Even with the water pump?
I've got the nitrous installed and gears, I guess the next thing would be head work and cams. I need some headers in a bad way too. |

Cheapest I have seen the water pump is at www.rpmoutlet.com-$299.99. for a claimed 11HP. Not much is to be gained from bolt ons. My '99 GT Mustang convertible ran a 14.42 stock on a Passport timer as I do not have access to a track. 4.10's, JLT CAI, UDP's, 75mm BBK TB/Plenum, PYPES catted X-pipe and a custom tuned SCT got me a best et of 13.95 and trap of around 102 also on the passport, same road to try to keep it equal. It's fun to drive but like I have been told it's only a 281 c.i. motor. Mark

Not worth it. Save up and invest in non bolt on work. Trust me.

Sweet99 makes a valid point, I asked everyone on here a thous. times what was worth it and out of the 5 things I've done so far...
the 410s and the Xcal 2 (Tuner) were the best things I've touched. A little pricey but... well worth it, you can feel the effects of them.
