03 cobra rims rubbing????

OK... so i just put 03 Cobra rims on my GF's '01 GT Vert. Got them off tire rack as a package deal. BFG 275 all the way around. everywhere i looked before i bought the wheels said they would fit with no issues. Tire rack also said they would fit with no issues... well i have issues. its nothing major, but when i do the lock to lock test, the tires rub. They dont rub bad, but they do rub. So whats the deal? shouldnt these go on without issues? ANY help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

275's will rub in the front on a lock test.

it shouldn't be an issue while driving because I hope your not making that fast of a turn. lol

my 275s rub lock to lock but ive never had any problems with it.

WOW, thanks for the crazy quick response. I havent had a chance to drive it yet, but she told me there was no rubbing while she drove it.

So i guess i have a second question: If i lower the car now (and it seriously needs to be lowered) is the rubbing going to get worse?

I doubt it.

my 01 was lowered on steeda sports and had 275's on all 4 corners and I never had issues.

my car has been lowered 2in and i dont have any problems

i have heard of the rear rubbing on 99-01's but never the front. ford modified the chassis is the rear to accept the 275's when they built the 03-04's, and the mod was on ever stang chassis built from 03 on....

ive got a 2000 and the rear dosnt even come closs to rubbing but the tires hit the sway bar up front when i turn all the way.

think it was under cornering or what. i just remember reading about it in the "iron first, lead foot" book thats about the terminator build up...
