Fueling n2o question
I was wondering if a 150-175 shot would be okay with a set of 24lb injectors and a 280lph ford gt pump. I blew up my plastic manifold on a 125 shot so I bought a new aluminum manifold and thought maybe I would have it tuned better and run a larger shot. Thoughts?

the 24lb injectors will only safely support around 375. it will will hold a little more than that, but you should base your injector around 80% duty cycle. this is all assuming you are on a dry shot. if you are running a wet shot, injectors will have nothing to do with it.

a metal intake doesnt make it any safer... if its gonna blow its gonna blow.. look on here it will have pics of sum blown.. and i would stay with a 150 shot on the stock gt motor... seen 1 take a 200 shot about 5 passes though b4 it throug damn near the entire motor from under it haha.. and if you open a ford gt pump its nuttin but a walbro 255

aluminum intakes are designed to take a nitrous backfire.the gt pump is no walboro. the walboro is a 255, the gt is a 310.

designed for a backfire and actually taking a backfire is two different things, i have seen countless pics, including on here of aluminum intakes exploding. the plastic one should do if you have the right safety equipment. I just wouldn't put a 1000 dollar intake on a car and then not have the right safety stuff and then have 1000 dollars scrap metal sitting in the car.
