new engine built for nitrous?

im wanting to build an engine for my 2000 mustang gt. i want to go all out and put a direct port nitrous system on it. i read numerous places on the net that 250 shot isthe most that most people put to the 2v. well to the question, should i go with a forged or billet 4.6 or a 302 stroker engine from vt engines? with the 4.6 should i bore it .020 or .030 over? or should i just go with a simple forged or billet 4.6 and spray the hell out of it. what kind of rwhp could i see with 250 shot on a built engine with the heads, cam, intake and supporting mods.

What kind of power are you wanting? The forged block will hold 750rwhp...The billet will go over 1000rwhp...

You could put down 600rwhp+ on the nitrous with the built engine...Race heads, race cams, 250 shot, full bolt-ons, and tune...

You can get 500+ out of the motor with just stage 2 heads, stage 2 cams, full bolt-ons, and a 150 shot...

250 shot is going to be a big boost in power so I hope you ahve plans to have your set-up ready for that kind of power...Fuel System etc...

i want as much hp as i can get....yes i know i will need alotof stuff to run the high hp....so i can get 600 plus rwhp out of it? code3gt has forged 4.6 with heads cams intake, bolt ons, etc...and like 350ish rwhp....add 250 to that and its 600ish......so are there better heads than that.. or does he have the best of everytihng

He does not have 350rwhp on a N/A 4.6 2V GT...It is really tough to squeeze 325rwhp out the 4.6 2V...

I dont know if he has the best of everything...I have stage 2 handported and polished heads, custom ground nitrous cams, built motor, full boltons...And on the dyno my car is going to make around 310rwhp or so off the spray...On the spray i will be over 500/500...And I am only going to be running a 150 shot...When the car is built and tuned for nitrous you can get more then 250rwhp out of the 250 shot...

The stroker is up to you...Alot of guys run strokers with no issue...I just chose not to go that route...As far as which one being better I dont know that...

I went with a local speed shop because VT had a long as wait and cost about $2k more then what I spent with the local speed shop and will end up with more power...

www.steenracing.com

- 4.6 2V Forged short block
Diamond racing pistons
Mod max manely rods
Cobra(4340) crank
cobra oil pump
ARP main studs
- Stage II ported and polished PI heads
Custom ground stage 2 nitrous cams
oversized ferrea valves
competition valve job
manley valve springs
bronze valve guides
- OEM multilayer steel head gaskets
- Spec billet steel flywheel
- ARP head stud kit

All together that cost me $6,551.94...

first of all a stock block will handle over 1000 hp. depending on the power, i would go billett if you can afford it. regular forged stuff will do okay for the kind of power your making. id like to see how that guy go 350 rwho out of his cuz ive got a fully built stroker, with stage 2 heads and cams, and all of the exhaust and supporting mods and i put down right at 302 rwho and 320 rwtq. anyways if your going to be spraying that much, why not just slap a blower on ita nd call it good, cuz with a 250 shot at a 1/4 mile at a time that bottle is only gonna last maybe 3 passes. and that shit isnt cheap. $40+ a bottle. you can get the same kinda power with a blower and have it there all the time.

Just to clarify when he says the stock block will over 1000hp...He is talking about the block itself...Not the internals...The stock internals are good up to about 400rwhp give or take 15rwhp...

Did not want to confuse anyone...

The reason I went with a new short block is becuase I dont have time to tear the one down back home and I am deployed and need my car ready to drive by the time I get home...If I did not have those issues I would have just used my own block and heads...
