Thats funny you guys brought this up, because when I was putting in my headers my egr tube got bent and then I cut it off, because I was told I would be better off getting a new one, but when I cut my car on I expected a check engine light or something, I got nothing except for a lil rough idling.

Is this also with the diablo tuner?

EGR is not used at idle or WOT, only part throttle. It does slightly lower the combustion temps. Sometimes its necessary to pull a few degrees of timing at part throttle because the stock (and most custom tunes) will add timing to make up for the less dense air fuel mixture.

Does anyone know where I could get some step by step instructions on how to remove everything?

You can just turn it off in a tune, and i'm pretty sure it will be off if you just unplug the wire.

Obviously I have taken it off while i was putting headers in there, tiger. Obviously it's apparent you haven't done headers, or you would of known what was involved. I see no point of taking the egr out so that's the only time it happened. I was referring to taking the whole tube out, not just capping it.

Like somebody else said i bent the shit out of it (had to get it welded to fill crease holes). Wouldn't even of responded if this post wasn't bumped.

And it has to be turned off with a tune (to the person that asked if a diablo could turn it off). A hand held by itself wont turn it off.

Or as Joe said, try unplugging the wire. (unless your wanting the unit out)

If anything you will loose mpg, but usually not enough to notice. I usually increase the egr flow rates on my mpg tunes (but they are still in development).
