for those with a pro 5.0

i have a couple questions
i heard you have to use a silicone sealer. a gasket came with mine. can i just use that instead?
and is the handle supposed to be off center? what i mean is that where the threaded part of hte handle starts. it slants toward the driver about 5-10 degrees. is that a defect or the way its supposed to be?
