Springs, need a raise!
I need to raise it a little bit. Im scraping going sideways on speed bumps (some of them) and i put headers on. I would like to avoid a header leak if possible! So i wanted to raise it. I have Steeda springs on it right now (just by looking at the spring), they are also blue. Not sure which one it is. Im guessing the lowest drop they have? Steeda Sport Springs at AmericanMuscle.com - Free Shipping! Thats for v6 and gt models so maybe because of weight it is lower than a 1-1.25?
Measured from the ground to the front, and bottom of the door. Thats 6 inches from ground. Back is 6 and half. K member is about 3 3-1/2 inches from the ground... I want just a little higher, maybe because of the kb and being a vert the front sits lower than it should. Any ideas on what i have so i can buy a little higher springs? Or spring recommendations.

i have the steeda superlight sport springs they are great and have the same drop as the ford C springs which is up to 1.5 but i think mine are around 1.25 with the isolators still there. They can be purchased from jegs.

nevermind after reading closer it sounds like you have the sport spring the only thing i can think of is to go back to stock or the ford C spring but the for C spring drops just like steeda sport.

I dont know tho, i know it has to be lower than a 1.5 drop. I mean 3 inches from ground to k member is ridiculous. Its just the springs i saw in there were blue, and said steeda. Had bottom isolators on them too.

I dont want stock height but i do want like a 1/2 more clearance i think it would help. Or at least not bottom out on everything... What are drop rates. Is it rated at tire to fender? Or from the door trim to ground?

Can you measure from the top of the lip on rim? We probably have different wall sizes on the tire. Would be awesome! Front is what im concerned with most.

From top of of the tim to fender i have 5 in front 6 in back.
Would stiffer shocks make the spring not as low? I have adjustable shocks... i think thats just with weight transfer though? not ride height?

no they don't really have anything to do with lowering a car unless they are designed for lowered cars. but i have the 10 way with strange i also was measuring from the tire to the top of the fender like the outside brim. i don't have a measuring device that will fit in the well to get the actual hight so we are probably bout the same height. if i had to estimate i say we are pretty dam close to the same.

the c springs can get really low as well. i have them on mine, doc's got them, the front is dropped pretty hard. and now with the k on my car, its on the ground. i was having issues trying to get over the tiny speed bumps at work before i installed the k.

Yeah i think they either compressed or is lower than advertised. Cause i shouldnt even be close to scrapping with 1.25 drop.
Anybody else have some specs for me to judge on? from the top of the rim lip to the fender edge. And what springs you put in (or stock). Just going to see how much it is actually lowered and go from there..
