5.0 or 4.6

Ok, heres the scoop. Previous to my '88, i owned a '99. I will be getting rid of the fox soon, and i want some opinions on whether to go with another modular, or another fox. My plans are for the 500-600 hp range achieving this this via turbos i believe, on a somewhat built motor.

how complicated would it be to do a 5.0 swap into a 99-04 body? I don't mean making the 281 a 302, I mean actually swapping a pushrod into it.

how high you want to rev it? if you plan on high revs all the time, then stay 4.6. if you want a stoplight monster, go to a stroker. the 4.6 makes a lot of torque as it is, a stroker will just add more on top of that.

5.0 is cheaper. but pushrods is heaveir and less dependable imo. are you considering a 03-04 Cobra or Mach1? thats is your DOHC and 32 valve. or go with a 01 Cobra. but a 16v SOHC will do work! with all thouhs mods i would think you would run a better than 12.4? but badass

5.0 would be cheaper, but what are the pro's and cons of these motors? as in, what would be a better platform?

Modular blocks seem to be stronger then 302s, and it seems everyone and the brother either has a modded 5.0 or knows someone with one, its not every day that you see a nicly built 4.6. You could say im a little biased, but Ive driven both, and even though I like all stangs I just prefer the mod motors, the sound, the feel, I just really enjoy my modular.
