steeda tri ax
ok guys i have a question i have a steeda triax shifter on my 03 gt recently install and i love it , one question it feels really hard when shifting kind or stiff shifting specially going to first gear , but all gear shifting feels hard is this normal .

I'm pretty sure that it's normal. My Hurst is the same way. It is logical if you think about it----- With a shorter throw, you will have less leverage than with the long throw shifter. Changing the fulcrum point (the way a short throw shifter does) will make it harder to shift.

it should feel firmer than the sloppy stock shifter and after some time it might break in a little bit but it should feel firmer

sometimes feel like gets stuck going to first gear and have to push hard but is hard on all the other gears i been told is because of the spring in the shifter have to wait to break in

mine was a little stiff when i first put it in, now it flows nicely.

I hated my tri-ax
ended up going to a UPR blue thunder. it's not as choppy. if I did it all over again I'd go with an MGW Shifter. |

Same issue here. Not what I expected. I hope after the break-in time it smooths out.

Best shifter made, will be stiff but to miss a gear you have to want too
