Hey this is my first time owning a Mustang . On Friday i purchased my first Mustang, Its an 2001 Mustang GT. And i think i have fallen in love. Seriously i catch my self staring at it all the time. I might be only seventeen and a lot of you are probably wondering what a 17 year old is doing with a GT. But i worked my ass off for the past year i finally got a great job at the beginning of the summer at the Government Center doing maintinence. And i roofed houses on the weekends so i went many days with out a break. Cause my parents rule was if i want something a buy it. So i finally saved up enough money to purchase this machine. I bought the car for 8700 dollars. Just to explain what i bought. The car had 75000 miles on it, flowmaster exhaust , bassani catted x pipe, k/n cold air intake, And the guys claims it has a stage two clutch but will see. And it has pioneer speakers all away around and an infinity sub in the back. Well hopefully i can be a help on this web site and get some help with my car. Just tell me what you think of her . I still need to name her.

your story is very similar to mine. im 18 now but i picked mine up last summer when i was 17. i worked my ass off as well. First day i brought mine home i was scared to drive it, and was in shock that i had my dream car for my first car. I stared at it for an hour until i finally thought id take it out for a spin, and then i just shit my pants from there. haha

But congrates on the mustang. Seems like your car already has the first common modifications done. welcome to the site.

congrats on the new toy. being YOUNG and inexperienced I would leave the traction control on in the rain unless you want to see your toy in ruins.

Hey man, nice car. It's always respected when someone works for their own shit in my book. It annoys the piss out of me when a 17 year old pulls up to me at a redlight in a 40,000.00 mercedes their parents bought and wants to race me, as if they could even hang with me. Welcome to the site man, it's a great place. Let us know what you name her too, haha.

Oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car. Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall. Torque is how far you take the wall with you.
