50/75 shot

In about 2 weeks ill be going along to do some racing with people a bit faster then my car and I feel obligated to do something. I cant really find much that will make up a nice jump for me so I am starting to think a shot of nitrous is acceptable. I was thinking a 50/75 shot should be ok, have found a zex kit that I think should be ok. Is that a decent kit, does it have everything that I would need, what should I do to my car to help prep for the shot?

colder plugs, bottle heater, purge kit, window switch. Don't even bother with the 50 shot. You can go with the 75/100 shot with no tune. I ran a 100 wet shot without a tune.

I personally would run a wet kit no less the a 100 shot. either a plate or nozzle system.

I have run 4 bottles of nitrous through a 100 shot in the last three weeks. No problems at all, and Im tempted to put in the 150 pills today and see what happens, but i wnat to tune before that.

The difference in nozzle and plate is the delivery point/method of the N20

Plate

Nozzle

As for wet and dry, dry kits use the injectors to add the enrichment fuel therefore requiring bigger injectors for a big shot of nitrous. The wet kits add enrichment fuel with the nitrous with a second solenoid and dispence them together at the delivery point, either the plate or nozzle. there is no dry kit for the returnless style fuel system on the mustang so to run a dry shot you would need a flip chip with a pig rich tune on it for the enrichment fuel. The easiest way to do it is a wet kit. the plate kit is only for the 2v's so 4v guys have to use a nozzle.

the wet kit for the car will produce the power...but on my dry shot i dont have to worry about the puddling under the intake. On the dry shot and my tune i think i put down some real good numbers for my little 2v. Its all in the tune there is a lot of tuners who cant tune a dry shot right.

sorta like a flip chip.... my tuner used a power relay connected to the computer ran to the nitrous solenoid and when the solenoid is activated the nitrous tune automatically kicks on and retards the timing adds the fuel needed...so i physically dont have to flip a switch to get my nitrous tune

neither go with the nos port inj. kit. our intake manifolds aren't designed to flow wet (ie. only for air. fuel can puddle & blow intake off) I know peolpe do it every day but why take a chance?

direct port is too much for anything under 150. if you spray incorrectly thats when problems are caused, not method of delivery.
