getting dtc code

so my check engine light is on and im getting the code p0074 on my hypertech programmer (which sucks i know). i looked up the code and it says "Ambient air temperature sensor circuitintermittent." does anyone know what that means? the car runs ok for the most part. the rpms dont fall right away when i push the clutch in though. when i lift the hood and rev the engine it sounds kinda like i have a vacuum leak somewhere. thanks for ur help guys.

yes... but if you clean it, make sure you do it with MAF cleaner... there is a special one for them...
